Kelly Rowland will give a concert in Baku on Thursday. The singer held a press conference before the concert, APA reports. Rowland said she was very pleased with her first visit to Azerbaijan, which is an Islamic country. She said she saw Baku only on her way from the airport to hotel, but she knew it as light and seriously reconstructing city.
Rowland said she kept in touch with former Destiny Child’s members Beyonce and Michelle.
“I can’t say who of us is more popular in her solo-career. Everybody of us is popular. I am developing my solo-career and feeling comfortable. I have already started preparation of my solo albumâ€.
The singer said she had some information about Azerbaijan.
“I know that Azerbaijan is an oil country. There is caviar in the country. I promised to my friends not to return without presents. I would like to take caviar for them. Baki is very close to me because my best friend’s name is Baki. I will tell them about this city. Regarding my knowledge about the Azerbaijani music, I always become familiar with the culture, art and music of any country when I am visiting it. I will try collect information about the Azerbaijani music during my being hereâ€.
Kelly Rowland said she wouldn’t perform duet with the Russian singer Timati who would also perform this night. They will present their programs separately. Rowland said she visited Dubai recently and she made differences between the two Islamic countries.
