THE sticky issue of Singapore and chewing gum has given even the likes of former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland something to chew on. The pop star lent some glamour and glitz to the grand opening of the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) integrated resort on Wednesday night when she performed at an open-air concert. But before touching down in Singapore, Rowland had already heard about Singapore’s chewing gum ban from her friends, she told Life! ahead of her performance. ‘I was terrified,’ she joked. Despite that, when asked whether she brought gum to town, she laughed, saying: ‘I don’t want to say,’ seemingly comments from international detractors of Singapore, applies only to the sale of chewing gum. On a more serious note, she said she found Singapore to be clean and beautiful, adding: ‘As I live in Miami, I also love the humidity.’ The Grammy Award-winner was here for a two-night flying visit for her gig at Sands. Apart from some of her older hits such as Dilemma, she also introduced the audience to her latest single, Commander. The single, much like the rest of her soon-to-be-released new album, is heavily inspired by dance music. She said: ‘Expect it to be a party.’ Source

Having enjoyed one of 2009’s biggest international chart-toppers as featured vocalist/co-writer of David Guetta’s Grammy-winning dancefloor smash ‘When Love Takes Over’, one-time Destiny’s Child superstar Kelly Rowland now hooks up once more with said French dance DJ/producer for the electronic club grooves of her new anthemic single ‘Commander’.

All of which is further proof that not only is 29-year-old Kelly generally acknowledged on a personal level as one of the most sunny-natured stars in today’s music business, but that her recording career away from her former bandmates (iconic lead-singer Beyonce Knowles and gospel-raised Michelle Williams) continues to go from strength-to-strength in the international market.

Kelly looked breath taking as she arrived at Glamour’s Women Of The Year Awards which was held last week in London.

Kelly Rowland is addicted to eating M&M’s.

The 29-year-old singer has joked she would “die” to get her hands on a packet of the chocolate treats with a crispy shell. Although she tries to limit how many she eats, Kelly always gets carried away when she opens a new bag.

“I love M&Ms. Mmmm. I’d die for some now! I always say, ‘I’ll just have a handful,’ then I have another one, then another! Plain or peanut are fine by me,” she revealed.

Kelly isn’t the only famous face to admit to eating too many M&M’s. Ben Stiller recently joked he sought treatment for his sweet tooth in 1999 because he was consuming over 1lb of the tiny sweets every day.

“The only thing I’m addicted to is M&M’s. I actually went to a hypnotist to get over M&M’s because I was eating a pound of peanut M&Ms a day,” the actor said. “He helped me get off them in 1999 for six months, but it came back. So around 4pm in the afternoon, I have a packet of them.”  Source

SEXY singer Kelly Rowland is in the best shape of her life as she prepares to release her third solo album.

The popstar was one third of girlband Destiny’s Child and went on to win a Grammy Award when she decided to go it alone in 2002.

Kelly, 29, has revealed she got through almost a dozen personal trainers to perfect the stunning body she’s happy to show at the Miami beach near her home.

She said: “I’ve been working out. My trainer Jeanette Jenkins has been really tough on me about my eating and all kinds of stuff. I stayed on it so I’m really proud of myself. (Read more… )
