Keep Memory Alive foundation’s ‘Power of Love Gala’

She has one of the most incredible bodies in the music business. So it’s no wonder Kelly Rowland decided to showcase her stunning figure in not one, but three form-fitting designs at last night’s Power of Love Gala celebrating Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday.

Kelly showed up at the┬áKeep Memory Alive foundation’s ‘Power of Love Gala’ event wearing a show-stopping, floor length pink gown. Later she performed in a yellow mini-dress and then a one-shouldered, gold gown. About 2,000 people attended the gala, including a parade of stars from the music, movie and sports worlds.

Among the guests was Stevie Wonder, who jetted to Sin City shortly after Whitney Houston’s funeral in New Jersey. Musicians Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Neyo and Lenny Kravitz also attended party, along with soccer star David Beckham, and actors Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Hopkins and Tony Danza.

Ali suffers from Parkinsons’ disease and the event was expected to raise millions of dollars for charity.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which treats Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple sclerosis and other disorders of memory, movement and mood.

The gala also raised money for the Muhammad Ali Center, a cultural and educational center in Louisville, Kentucky.

A set of gloves Ali used to defeat Floyd Patterson in 1965 in Las Vegas – the first heavyweight title fight in Sin City – sold for $1.1million.

The gloves came with one of the original posters used to promote the fight, which had Ali’s chosen name as a subscript to Cassius Clay, the name he was born with. When Ali converted to Islam, many people resisted calling him by his new name.

Ali entered the room and sat at a table with his family before bidding began on the gloves.

Lorenzo Fertitta, the billionaire majority owner of Ultimate Fighting Championship, won the gloves, which organisers had said earlier they hoped would fetch $500,000.

Kelly Rowland and best friend La La Anthony were spotted enjoying a girly shopping trip yesterday in West Hollywood.

The pair took a visit to the Intermix clothing store and were seen leaving with a couple of large bags. Kelly was most likely splashing out in celebration of her 31st birthday over the weekend.

La La was seen accompanying Kelly the night before their shopping trip to a night club in Hollywood as part of the singer’s birthday celebrations.
